Maurice Hicks is a decorated 20-year veteran of Maryland law enforcement and a former lead investigator with the FBI Safe Streets Homicide Task Force. Raised on the unforgiving streets of Baltimore, he defied the odds, channeling his early struggles into a lifelong mission of justice, leadership, and mentorship.

Throughout his career, Maurice served in multiple capacities—from patrol officer to detective lieutenant—working in Street Narcotics, Major Narcotics, Intelligence, Robbery, and Homicide divisions. His exemplary service earned him numerous awards, including two Chief’s Awards of Merit and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Award.

Maurice holds a master’s degree in management from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s in criminology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he has served as an adjunct associate professor for 25 years. A Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and former owner of a private detective agency in Nevada, and the current owner of a private detective agency in Maryland and Nevada, Maurice is also a proud father of five and grandfather of seven.
